Mahabodhi Temple is one of the major pilgrimage destinations in India for Buddhists. It is situated in the Bodh Gaya village of Bihar state. This is the spot where buddha gets enlightenment and one of the oldest brick temples in India. There is a Bodhi tree near this temple where Buddha sat until he gained enlightenment. At the southeast corner of the temple, you will find one of the most popular Ashoka's many pillars. Buddha Temple & Bodhi tree is covered with stone railings. So many foreigners visit here throughout the year.

• 5:00 am. to 9:00 pm every day.

Entry fee

• There are no entry fees to visit this temple. However, you need to pay 100 rs for cameras and 300 rs for video cameras.
