Old Silk Route s a high altitude road trip in east Sikkim. These silent routes offer spectacular views of the snow-covered of Kanchenjunga, the third-highest peak in the world. The route connected Eastern India with the famous Silk Route of Central Asia.. This route was taken by Mr. George and his team for Mount Everest expeditions during 1921/1922. The route has two temples dedicated to an Indian soldier who died from drowning in one of the fast-flowing streams of the region.
