About Parashar Lake

Prashar lake is a purely blue water lake that is surrounded by a range of valleys and it is also considered a sacred lake in the Mandi district.

Himachal Pradesh's Parashar Lake is a hidden beauty. Parashar Lake is located 49 kilometres north of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, at a height of 2,730 metres above sea level.
The lake is composed of 93 percent water, the majority of which is supplied by glacier runoffs or rains. In the winter, the trek route is closed due to snow accumulation. From September to December, as well as in the summer, you can come. Prashar Lake in winter offers captivating scenery.

 

How to reach Parashar lake

By Air

Bhuntar Airport the closest airport, is located roughly 60 kilometres distant from Prashar Lake. To travel to Mandi, you'll need to take a taxi or a bus. If you do not intend to visit Mandi, it is preferable to take a cab immediately to Baggi village.

By Train

There are no direct trains to Mandi, but you can take the nearest one from Chandigarh, from whence cabs and buses can be hired.

By Road

Except for the last 10 kilometres, the road to Prashar Lake is well built on the state highway, therefore be cautious of off-road sections.
