About Ulsoor Lake (Halasuru Lake)

Ulsoor lake (Halasuru Lake) is one of the oldest lakes in Bangalore. Sir Lewin Bentham Bowring, Bangalore's commissioner at the time, designed Ulsoor Lake. It has a total land area of 123.6 acres. It is one of Bangalore's most popular tourist attractions. Ulsoor Lake is surrounded by lush foliage, creating a tranquil ambiance.

 

Best Time to Visit

August and September for the major Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, and October to February for the post-monsoon season.

There is no entrance cost.

Every day from 5 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.

 

How to reach Ulsoor Lake

By Air

Bangalore City International Airport is the closest. To get there, one might take a cab or hire a private automobile.-

By Train

The City Central railway station is the closest. From here you get lots of regular local and express trains from all across India.

By Road

The best way to get to Ulsoor Lake from the City Bus Stand or any other area in Bangalore is by using Uber.

1. Boating 

Boating is one of the most popular sports in Ulsoor Lake. You can take exceptional photograph too from the center of the lake.

2. Sightseeing

As Ulsoor Lake is surrounded with lots of green surrounding so here you will get ample of opportunity for sightseeing.

Photography is a great and fun loving activity which you can enjoy with your kids and family and keep the memory in your heart for long time.

4. Evening walk

The pathways are surrounded on both sides by expanses of lush trees, grass and vibrant flowers, and also has benches that will allow you some quiet and tranquil time. 

5. Shopping

If you are into cooking, a trip to the Fish Market, followed by one to the by lanes of Bazaar Street is recommended.
